Figure 9. In gas-condensates dew point (saturation pressure) controls SF(P10+). Dew point is set by migration path pressure, ultimately that of the reservoir . Maturity, which controls SF(P10+) in oils, is without effect. Oil data which plot close to gas-condensate loci are presumed to be retrograde condensate liquids in liquid+gas accumulations. If exactly on the condensate curve, then reservoir conditions are at the critical point of the composition.
